A new era.
At Seesaw, creativity is our constant, but it’s the people behind it who give that creativity shape, direction and meaning. This month, we’re proud to announce the promotion of Larry Vila Pouca to Creative Director.
Larry has been an integral part of Seesaw for many years, leading design with instinctive clarity and a meticulous eye. With over three decades of experience, he brings both depth and breadth to our creative practice, from shaping international brands to mentoring the next generation of designers.
“We’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to see how Larry will continue to shape the work and the culture that define Seesaw.”
— Anita McArthur

Beginning his career in London, Larry honed his design sensibility with some of the world’s most respected brands including Paul Smith, Levi Strauss, Sony Music and the British Arts Council, and earned recognition with a D&AD award early in his journey. Returning to Australia, he continued to explore the intersections of creativity, culture and commerce. His work has spanned campaigns for Witchery, Peter Alexander and Uniqlo, to brand programs for 101 Collins, ANZ, MAB, Highpoint and Domaine Chandon. Across each, his approach is marked by a deep understanding of how visual storytelling can connect emotion to strategy.
At Seesaw, Larry’s influence extends well beyond design direction. His approach combines precision with empathy, guiding our team with calm focus and an unwavering commitment to quality. Whether developing a new brand identity or shooting a portrait, his perspective is grounded in storytelling, craft and a quiet confidence that inspires those around him. Behind the camera, Larry’s photography reveals the same sensitivity that defines his design work. His portraits and landscapes capture nuance and humanity, qualities that mirror his own presence within the studio.
For Matt, myself and the Seesaw team, Larry’s promotion reflects not only his contribution to the studio’s creative evolution but also the kind of leadership we value: thoughtful, generous and visionary. We’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to see how Larry will continue to shape the work and the culture that define Seesaw.
